Google already knows you like Applebees, using GPS your phone transmitted back to Google your location when you ate there 5 times last week!Under Security & location, there is an option that says 'Share with Google: Allow Google to use location for improved search and other services'. You can check that option or uncheck it. If you uncheck it everything worthwhile stops working.

They are not a hardware company. Right now, you have to have a smartphone. And the VAST majority of drivers on theroad do not have, nor are planning to get, a smartphone. And again....hate to break you out of your fantasy world delusions, but the avearge computer suers does not think of Google as a god in everything they d. Most don't give a flying rat's ass f**k about ANYTHING Google does other than search.

I have the Nokia 5800 XpressMusic and love it for this feature. The maps for the U.S. are about 1.3 GB and can be downloaded to your memory card with a computer. The only bad part is you have to pay for the turn-by-turn directions. But that's mitigated a bit by being able to save a route and step through each turn for free.

Yeah I totally agree. It's like that scene in Austin Powers when the steamroller is driving towards the guy really slowly from across the room and the guy just stands there and screams until he eventually gets run over.
