Paulorific, not everyone uses the internet the exact same way as you do. There are ten Google searches I do almost every day. I find it a lot faster and easier than using Bookmarks or memorizing URLs. This feature will be a big boon to me.Also, although this only affects your search results, I am guessing this will give them data to refine the PageRank algorithm. In the future, it may even evolve into more of a social, shared system.
I like freedom... I can't wait until high quality academic lessons are available online either for free or very cheap.I've found a couple sites - EasyPianoLessons, YourTreacher.com, and ALEKS, but their business models seem based on in-person tutoring models. That is, give a small number of people access for high cost, when I think they can manage a large number of people at remarkably low costs and tons of user support.Shii from 4chan also recommends using personal wikis as ways to share information, and that it can out-do wikipedia if it gathers a following due to articles being fully unrestrained by any kind of hierarchy. I ought to check pbwiki for educational wikis...
I didn't have it at first and then I did a search and there it was. Played with it for five minutes. Then did another search and the feature was gone again. Is there a switch somewhere or a bug?
