blogs.zdnet.com— Looks like an internal project but the screenshot provided appears to suggest GDrive works with Windows, Mac and Linux allowing users to store files remotely so they can be accessed from anywhere.

It looks like a great service, but will be costly for google to provide if used widespread. My concerns would be the redundancy they have in protecting the data and of course the privacy.
I'm not usually paranoid or anything but hell will freeze over before I store all my data on Google's servers. I'm sure they won't lose it but just don't like the idea of them having all that crap - you KNOW they're going to index it to serve you ads, etc.It will also make Google the number 1 target of hackers everywhere - one stop shopping for everyone's files. Lovely.

Hoax.
What do you care if it is a "new low" for Google? If they truly are trying to enter to many markets, their products will fail. If they are good (which not all are, but gMail, Maps, Desktop and Spreadsheets are all quite good in my opinion) then they will succeed.Don't like it? Don't use it.
