wired.com— On March 23 I spent an hour interviewing Google CEO Eric Schmidt. We talked about everything from Google's competition with Microsoft and its partnership with Apple to all those data centers it is building.

Eric's reaction to the Steve Ballmer reference was fantastic. He won't even dignify Ballmer's with a direct response.Google is what Microsoft could have been if they weren't always trying to instantly monetize, shakedown, and otherwise bitch-slap the end-user. Every step of the way Ballmer and Gates chose to be evil capitalist swine... But they're running out of ideas and leverage on the market. Despite the free colas, nobody wants to work at MSFT anymore - the Google is where the brightest are flocking to.Can anyone imagine MSFT releasing something akin to 800-GOOG-411 (free business directory assistance, TM of business details, and call connection)?
