arstechnica.com— Now, Google tells Ars that it's a mistake, the EULA will be corrected, and the correction will be retroactive.

"But how come everytime something comes up with Google people say they are evil."Because they claim that they are not evil. If you make such claims, you will be watched closely with magnifying glasses to find even the tiniest piece of evilness."What you want to bring up China? Its either comply with country laws or leave. Its respectful to respect countries laws."So if the laws of a country are evil, you can just blame them? If you want to claim that you are not evil, you have to stay out of countries with evil laws. Otherwise, you are just not evil when it fits your business goals, but evil when large amounts of money can be had. And that's not really being "not evil" at all."Anyhow, don't be such a sheep!"Pot, meet kettle."And no I'm not defending Google"Actually, that's exactly what you are doing. You are defending Google, even when they are evil (and their actions in China are certifiably evil), but I guess it doesn't count for you if you can earn a lot of money being evil.______________________________________--You need to accept the fact that all countries are different. And you can't always have it your way.Make it even clearer?People spoke about the EULA (a bit mis leading but sensationalists ran with it and made it appear to be evil).People always mention China as a reason why Google is evil and thats just ridiculous. Do you really think the average Chinese person hates their country? No, because if they did; they would revolt. But obviously the majority is pretty content with the way things are going. So no, Google is not evil for following Chinese law.I might sound like I'm defending Google, but I'm just pointing how stupid it is when people call Google evil for following country laws.
Google is definitely in the business to make people happy. And so far, they've done ok by me. An argument could be made that google truly invented the internet as we now know it. I couldn't imagine not using google at some point throughout the day.
goffy59"People spoke about the EULA (a bit mis leading but sensationalists ran with it and made it appear to be evil)."It was evil. Why else would they change it?"Do you really think the average Chinese person hates their country?"The average Chinese is a farmer who has never been outside the country. It is a bit difficult to hate your country when there is nothing to compare it to."But obviously the majority is pretty content with the way things are going."Well, again, that's what happens when you have nothing else to compare it to. I know, because I've been in an analogous situation. When I was in years 1-5 in primary school, I was regularly teased by several bullies in my class. But when we moved, and I was to change school, I was reluctant because I thought that it would be the same or worse in the new school, simply because that was all I knew. I thought every school would be the same. The new school actually turned out to be much better, and I got many more and better friends, and nobody teased me."So no, Google is not evil for following Chinese law."In my opinion, Chinese law is evil, and since Google chose to do business there and thus comply with their evil laws, they are at least partially evil."I might sound like I'm defending Google"Which, again, you certainly are.
