I've found the google gets confused about directions a lot, it can find one address and then another..but try and find directions between the two and it forgets its self..
The flickr high resolution maps disappeared today. For a while they were much better than anything on google in my area in Maine. This afternoon as I was tagging some of my photos and did a reload, rather than seeing the map I got the white screen saying I had to zoom out.
Both work great in my area (they have to, it's the bay). However Yahoo!'s GUI is much more fluid to work with. Yahoo maps also has a great use of search based on the area you're highlighting. +1 for Yahoo!
2nd, 3rd, and 4th everything said about Yahoo! not knowing much beyond the American border.Just try looking at Sydney (Australia's largest City) Google has Street View (down to the people on the street), Yahoo has some grainy Sat view where you can barely make out the different buildings of the city.

Yahoo maps is horribly out of date. It shows the road system and train lines in leicester from nearly 20 years ago! The inner and outer ring roads don't feature on Yahoo, and it shows two train lines running through the city, one of these was demolished in the late 80's. Also, there isn't sufficient data to zoom in to a useful level. Not that it'd be that useful anyway, with such out dated maps.Google maps is far better.http://www.sergeychernyshev.com/maps.html#52.64056351447151,-1.1309051513671875,7,0

Anyone who says that Google maps is better has yet to try it for directions. It has lead me down dead end streets so many times.
