smh.com.au — Google has rolled out a new feature on its mapping service that will allow users to easily embed maps directly into web pages. The feature will operate in much the same way as the embedding feature for YouTube videos.

IFrame? What's the big deal with that? All they've done is given you the same linkable map and setting it as the src for an IFrame. Not new technology, nothing they developed, just an IFrame?

<a class="user" href="http://streetviewr.com/embed/">http://streetviewr.com/embed/</a> allows you to do the same thing with Google Street Views which are disallowed using the plain old Google technique
