arstechnica.com— Take back all those diggs from the previous story alleging that google is working on its own version of ubuntu. This is a direct statement from them denying any such thing.

why would google want to make an OS based on Ubutnu??Seems to me they get a lot of traffic from people trying to find mp3, dvdread, decss, etc. Heck it took me at least as long to get an Ubuntu system up to spec as it did to compile a Gentoo system. (Not that anyone actually does that)

Ubuntu is a good linux and it is nice to hear that google use it internaly.
