"I don't find Drupal that interesting."You're not alone, I get the impression this would not be front page material if the headline better represented the content.Official results should have been at <a class="user" href="http://code.google.com/soc/">http://code.google.com/soc/</a> yesterday. They aren't up yet though. I'd suggest you keep an eye on it.Keeping an eye out for Debian Live myself.

Depending on your hosting scenario, PHP's often the only viable option and those hacked up CMS packages tend to install nice & quick to get the job done. Less yak shaving, more publishing.Zope / Plone has its own set of issues beyond custom hosting, not the least of which include a hockey stick shaped learning curve and difficulties in through-the-web development where you may have limited access to tools like SVN or CVS. Correct me if the Zope / Plone situation has changed radically since last I was ankle deep in it.

Hey, for roll your own, python rocks. But the virtue of something like Drupal is that it's the result of a whole lotta people working together on something that is in the arena of many other comparable projects, in this case PHP/database backends. I digg Drupal, majorly and I'm a programmer who has built many a CMS from scratch. If there were some nice open source python CMS solutions out there I would be among the early adopters. Plone looks great, and I'm going to look into it; but is that the only contender for the solution (python-based) you are proposing? To be on topic, the form assembler Ajax bit is sweeeeeet!
