"I wonder if those who decry the lack of a physical keypad have ever actually tried a touchscreen one?One day with a touchscreen keypad and you'll never want to use a traditional keypad again."I have. I've been using an ipod touch for most of my mobile web browsing for over a year. I'd KILL for a real keyboard. ipod's sucks hard!"It would look really ugly"Form < Function
thanks for the report. Yeah I know what you mean about the lag in Android. Thats one thing that was always better in the Iphone. The Iphone UI was smooth scrolling, swiping etc. Perhaps this is not just due to snapdragon but Android 2.1?
I'm interested in it, but I'm saddened that it'll be EDGE only for AT&T users.Would this be AT&T's doing, is this just "to start" and they'll enable 3G coverage with a firmware update or something?I have the first gen iPhone, and I've vowed to never again own a phone that can't do 3G. I think it was a tremendous misstep for Apple to launch the phone without 3G, and I don't like that Google is kind of doing the same thing (where AT&T users are concerned)Yes, I know, "AT&T sucks, you should just drop them," but personally I haven't had issues with them, and T-Mobile coverage in my area is far worse.
I like it too, I just don't think I can bring myself to use a battery drain like that. I mean, it's bad enough that the awesome processor and 3G speeds will suck the battery like kool-aid, but an unnecessary animated background is just too much.Anyone else annoyed buy how battery technology always lags far behind the rest of technology? I'm sick of sacrificing because my battery won't last.
