This was shown at TED and I think this is a wonderful idea. God knows how much cash is being spent on this, but if anybody could afford it, its Google. The thing is 75% of this planet is water and yet we know more more about Mars and the surface there then we do about the oceans here on Earth. I look forward to seeing all this new information. It's great for education and great for science.
"Since Google Earth launched in 2006 millions of people have used its virtual globe to "travel" around the planet without leaving home, climbing a digital version of Mount Everest and even flying into space thanks to the website."Nope, I understood the sentence because i read it in it's entirety, not just halfway and then inserting a (imaginary?) period in the middle.
