familywatchdog.us — This site is great, and it should be spread around to everyone. Not just for people with kids, its great for women to so you know where to stay away from. It maps all the sex offenders according to your address and zip code and when you click on a spot on the map you can see the person.

There are other sites to cross reference this one with that list the offenses as well. FYI. Not all sexual offenses are 'that' offensive, but even so, information when you have three kids is better than none.CAS

All sexual offenses are offensive, hence the term. If you're on a sex offender registry, you've been convicted of an 'offense' that any clear thinking human would regard as reprehensible.

I dont let my kids play across the street anyway. Im aware of many people in my neighborhood that I do not approve of-lifestyle choices and otherwise. I don't need a map to tell me what my gut does and my eyes do.

I know several people who have been raped, and not ONE was raped by somebody with a prior conviction. It's not a scientific sample, but it speaks volumes to me about how effective this system has been in protecting my friends.

Beyond being unscientific, is also naive and quite frankly jejune. Even conservative (liberal?) studies show conclusively that criminals are rarely caught committing their first crime.

might as well use mapquest if you are going to make google maps work like that
