@pacobell: I'm sure if Google wanted to take legal action against the people that made hacked sites with Google Maps they would have won, thus making it "illegal." Now with the API their are terms of usage which would make the sites legal. Please do not lecture me on law. I've hacked my TiVO, but the difference is I paid for it, and it is physically in my possession, you didn't pay for Google Maps and I'm sure the old terms of use did not allow for the hacking.
