seaton: A MD-11 is not a new name for the DC-10. The MD-11 was a new aircraft derived off of the DC-10, but it had newer digital avionics, winglets, and a stretch in the fuselage length.Second, As kool as picking up a L-1011 from one of the desert storage airports and converting it for a private jet would have been, it is a lot more efficient and cheaper to fly a 767, which has 2 more-efficient engines compared to the Tristar's 3.Anyway, money that Google doesnt have to pay for fuel can be used for R&D for new products for us.
