why TiVo? I don't think TiVo even makes profit. Besides, once you buy TiVo, and use it for awhile, it gets outdated. But if you get the Cable companies DVR, they will automatically upgrade you. That way you always with the best. And if you use your computer, then well, f**k TiVo.
Yahoo partners with AT&T -> AT&T partners with Dish -> Dish partners with Google meanwhile...BellSouth (now AT&T) partners with DirectTVSo Dish is in a second cousin partner relationship with DirectTV and Yahoo has the same arrangement with Google...Perhaps AT&T should just buy Dish, DirectTV, Yahoo, and Google and get it all over with...
TiVo has gotten a bit crazy with their subscription rates, but it is constantly updated. TiVo has IPTV content (TiVo Casts), mp3 playback, free open source API development, Amazon unbox downloads (kinda pricey but cool), and much more now, and more still coming...TiVo is definitely the best software for function and ease of use, cable DVR has some hardware advantages when you compare like priced equipment, and PC based is great for those inclined to keep it working and updated..
Yes, because reading 12 year old know-it-alls and obviously politically biased comments and articles that are only there through digg fraud just makes me want to snuggle up with a bowl of popcorn and a beer after a long day of work.

Verizon already partners with MSN/Microsoft, so this would never happen.
