googlerumors.com— It looks like Google is really close to launching their rumored calendar service. A subdomain is already working, which is exactly what happened before the launch of Google Talk and Blog Search.

@theone - I think you miss part of the good part about why google is so great right now...Do you think that yahoo and msn would feel the need to spend the $$$ to upgrade their interface and increase thier MBs for free, if it weren't for google?! Yea some how I don't think they would have. Maybe a couple years down the road they would have. But google is bringing back competition to the free things on the internet. It causes everybody else to rethink about their free product or service. Same goes with their search... I mean MSN and Yahoo searches even LOOK like google searches now.
no a calendar isn't original but a lot of us have switched to gmail since it came out and, at least for me, there's a need for an online calendar - yahoo's is decently tied into the whole yahoo world, but Google has no such thing. Given the slick simplicity of gmail, it'll probably look a lot like <a class="user" href="http://Planzo.com">http://Planzo.com</a> and hopefully tie into a lot of other google crap. But yeah otherwise I'm excited.
