blogs.zdnet.com — Dissecting the Google Calendar javascript source code revealed a couple of things. 1) A debugging window for internal use and 2) pretty good indication that they are making a task list feature (requested by many people)

I'm sure Google does listen to their users, but I wouldn't be suprised if they planned this feature all along.

if bits of this code are making their way into production, it's likely it has been worked on for some time. it's not exactly an indication that google listens to its customers.but on that note, everyone listens to their customers. you just may not be their customer, as they see it.microsoft definitely has a big ear toward its paying userbase.

Neither of those ways are syncing; fundamentally, they are subscribing or importing. With my PocketPC, I can currently enter a date in either the PocketPC or my calendar solution, and when I connect the PocketPC to the computer, they both update.

Really glad they are adding the tasks to their calendar, that is the only step holding me back from fully switching to Google calendar! Just need google internet(ISP) then I will be completly googalfied

@TimmyGUNZ: I thought about the labeling your tasks and putting them in your gmail but you then are lacking some features that most task lists include. For ex: frequently modifying, status, percentage complete, Organizing by things such as due date, % complete, importance, categorizing tasks, etc. Im sure you could think of a workaround for most of the stuff but it makes it much easier just clicking a box or selecting an option from a drop-down box in my opinion.Good idea though

why can't we just get a NOTEPAD in gmail? I hate having to store notes in my DRAFTS folder :(

You should check out Google's Notebook feature for Firefox. It seems like it could have some great results if you are researching online. <a class="user" href="http://www.google.com/notebook/">http://www.google.com/notebook/</a>

That task list will be around any time now.

@eastshores: If Microsoft listens to their users why is Vista crippled with DRM? Why does IE not comply with development standards? Why can Vista not be virtualized? Why can XP and Vista only be installed on 1 motherboard per license according to the EULA?

Try GooSync or OggSync - both work with Outlook on PC and Mobile Outlook on Wm5/6
