Apple is worried because they're making the same mistakes they did in the PC era but worse. Go f**k yourself Apple.

Just not there yet? Bulls**t. My Android phone has done everything I've ever wanted it to do, and then some.Maybe when the Android Market has 180,000+ fart apps like the iPhone store it will "be there" for you.

Furthermore, look at the sales growth of the iPhone in the same period, it hasn't gone down, but rather has increased dramatically. All Android has done is supplant Windows Mobile, Palm & Symbian based devices. While that's good since Android is better than any of those 3, it's so far not managed to take away share from either iPhone or RIM.

Why do you think that?Apple has had a several year lead in terms of OS on Microsoft since the beginning of this decade. Windows spent the whole decade playing catchup and ended it several years behind. In terms of web browser, same thing. Apple went from having no web browser except MS IE and Netscape at the start of the decade, to introducing their own browser and co-inventing the HTML 5 standard with Google.Clearly, there was zero competition pressure coming from Microsoft to implement SVG, HTML 5, WebGL, etc. Apple just did it because it was the right time, the right stuff and they had the money/manpower/knowhow to do it. The same goes from Google. They were not sitting on their butts, they were partnering with Apple on web browsers & standards.Only aged monopolies sit on their butts due to lack of competitive pressures to innovate and improve. That is one reason why US antitrust law is against them.Apple's goal for multitasking is that it be done in such a way that it not run the battery down really fast. Nobody has been very successful at this. And, it's an architectural & API thing. Once you roll that feature out, you can't unroll it; apps will be using. You can't break them by declaring a "do over".So, Apple's waiting and taking it slowly, one step at a time makes sense.
