sosuke:That's exactly the problem. I make my money selling things online and use Google Adwords to advertise. Ads for Search work amazingly. Ads on the Google Content network (like your site) suck. I would love for Google to come up with a way (it sounds like this is it) for me to bypass the websites with users that don't buy things and run ads just on the good websites.I also assume that this new CPA adveritsing will be tightly integrated with GBuy. This will be how Google verifies that a user actually buys something and that the publisher is due credit: Google will handle the transaction. Otherwise I can only imagine the nightmare of fraud they would be faced with as fake publishers create fake stores and fake customers to earn real commissions.
While the title of their site is catchy, I don't think consumers will catch on... All of its marketing thrust seems to be towards the fact that they are so different then Pay per Click advertisers but the cash-back model is a completely different model than pay per click providers such as Google Adwords, Yahoo Search Marketing, etc. How is a site like this any different than cash-back rebate sites like http://www.MrRebates.com that also give cash-back on purchases?
13 months after publication of this article and perhaps it is fitting to comment on the growth of jellyfish.com. The business model is demonstrating that it is valid and attracting more and more consumers everyday. With live reverse auctions every week day and themed shows running 24/7 the site provides both a source of entertainment and incredible cash back opportunities from a wealth of online merchants of every description. I have personally received $704 in cash back from my purchases and the JF linked merchants have enjoyed thousands of dollars in sales. I believe that the naysayers have been proven wrong. I invite you to join the fun at http://www.jellyfish.com/smack/signup/gumbosteve. It is clearly worth checking out.

Ouch, that stings!

It's not just sales adwords users want. Lots of time, it's also increased traffic, so in that sense Google will always remain the best source.

Funny how Google is trying like crazy to get away from the cost-per-click model, even though they make 100% of their revenue from that kind of advertising. Why would they want to move away from it? http://zenmed-acne-scar-treatment.com
