Yay! I love the customizable homepage and now I'll finally be able to make more use of Google's excellent in-browser chat program!I love being able to open Firefox and the first thing I see is new email, my upcoming schedule, the weather forecast, top digg stories, etc. I always kind of found home pages to be useless things that you simply navigate away from when you start your browser. Google home pages really puts a lot of utility into it.

This reminds me a lot of the "meebo me" widget that Meebo uses. I wonder if google was aware of that feature when they implemented this. I only used google talk through meebo, but this does seem like a cool new feature. Ill get it a try.oops spos5 beat me to it..

They make a program called Amnesty Generator for Vista to allow you to convert Google Gadgets to Vista sidebar widgets. <a class="user" href="http://amnesty.mesadynamics.com/GeneratorWin.html">http://amnesty.mesadynamics.com/GeneratorWin.html</a>I tried converting the Google Talk Gadget with it today, but it didn't work. Maybe eventually they will release an updated version or some smart person will figure out how to tweak the code to work properly. In the meantime it's works well for adding other useful gadgets.

What does the greyed out CALL button do? as the client is flash based maybe they will use flash's ability to use the computers micophone (and even webcam) to do VOIP anywhere you have a browser with flash!?Now that would be cool?Don't forget that because gtalk uses jabber, jabber gateways to AOL MSN can also be used to IM anyone!
