gigaom.com — Big rumor of the day: Google is buying GrandCentral. We checked with GrandCentral and they declined to comment. If it indeed does happen, it would be delicious irony: Craig Walker and Vincent Paquet were with DialPad, which got sold to Yahoo. So this would even the score.

Wow, GrandCentral has online voicemail? cool. Next step will be cellular video phones, but of course the telcos would want to charge up the ass for it. Also, I would love the VoIP -> phone patent to die.Bury me.

I've never heard of this service but it seems very nice. Can anyone confirm that there are no charges? I want to do my home telephone but don't want some odd charges showing up on my phone bill.
