I didn't read the details, but I'd expect he died from the gas fumes which perhaps ignited after his death.BTW, what you're talking about is self-immolation. Amazing example:http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Thich_Quang_Duc

RIP Nickster. Hopefully the rest of the GES mod team can finish it, and let everyone in the world play it so they can always pay tribute to you.

I can hardly think of a stupider way to kill yourself than burning yourself alive. Why not just dismember yourself Braveheart-style while you're at it.

I'm still waiting for one of you religious stupidasses to prove the existence and characteristics of this afterlife you believe in. Saying that "the best way to spend life is believing in a fairy tale" neither cuts it nor constitutes a rigorous proof, the most immediate problem being finding a 50-sided coin to pick which fairy tale to believe.

Most of the people who think that only the weak commit suicide are obviously pampered pussies who have to try to make themselves feel good about themselves somehow. Yeah, you must be totally weak to be willing to kill yourself for whatever reason, something most of these pussy bitches wouldn't be capable of doing no matter what. Ignore them.

I've had friends do that, I hate them for it, their choice to commit sucide was a selfish, egotistical and stupid decision. I will NEVER forgive them for being so pathetic and weak. The real test and hardship with life is living it, if you can't do that then the world is better off.My condolences go out to his family and friends, who most likely - like I did - are going "What if I did this instead, he might still be alive".Illness or no illness, it does not delude the fact that what he did was stupid and reckless. Let me ask you this; if what he did killed a friend or family member of yours, would you be so lenient just because "he had an illness"?

"Has it never occurred to you guys that suicide is a manifestation of mental illness?"Not that dude... He said he wanted to "find out what was on the other side", Wanted to know what afterlife was like. Why you would do that by setting yourself on fire??!!Yeh, that is a bit selfish, seeing a) he lived in a fecking duplex, in which case he could have set other people on fire on the way,b) he did like $75,000 worth damage on his own, (lots of money)c) his family are now in griefIf you wanna suicide, you don't do so by putting others at risk as well i.e. in a car crash, suicide bombersAnd would everyone stop feeling sorry for him and if you wanna comment send condolonces to his family?! He wanted to die, and now he's dead, he got what HE wanted, his family probly didn't... That's what being selfish is isn't it??
