Lots of dumb comments without trying things out as usual here... I use Trillian, had a chum start a chat with me earlier today, he uses google chat, and the chat shows up in my gmail chats bit. I wasn't using the google chat client.

This thing works even if you don't have Google Talk installed! It even works on Linux! Way cool!And I love the new smileys! Still text-like thank god (yellow circles must die!) but with a twist :)
