what the hell is "G3?" and your friends don't have very good data plans which is why they would prefer to wait for wifi signals.if you are in a 3G service area the speeds are quite close to wifi speeds, so it would be nice to have unlimited data, and not have to worry about trying to find a wifi hotspot all the time.
for those who didn't knowRogers offered a 6GB Data plan for $30 (available til Sept 30) that you could add to any voice plan. Voice plan +Data plan is cheaper than the iPhone plan they offer. ($15 more gives you Visual Voicemail, call tdisplay, 2500 sent text (incoming are always free unlike some other cell carriers) Ect. y
