mediamatters.org — Glenn Beck promoted The Red Network: A "Who's Who" and Handbook of Radicalism for Patriots, stating that the book is "from people who were doing what we're doing now." However, the book's author, Elizabeth Dilling, was a virulent anti-Semite, and The Red Network itself contains numerous passages that espouse anti-Semitism and racism.

Please obtain sense of humor.

@ manowarx I sold my humor when I sold my soul, which is conveniently enough, when I first watched Beck.I have a sense of humor, I just like good jokes, not jokes that are not thought out."Ooh, he can't read.....You've been Served"That was what I was getting at.

I think people got me all wrong. He thought that Glenn Back was the best thing that happened to news, while I was arguing the contrary. Trying to persuade him that this guy is a wing nut.

@Manther It's because you aren't a realist that makes you stupid. You buy into the fear on one end or the other. I appreciate your sense of humility, truly. However, i also think that you are a glass half empty type. You should be proud to be a free thinker not bash yourself and lump yourself into the very group you seem to loathe. Try logic as a basis for thought instead of your emotional side. Then you'll make a point without calling everyone around you an idiot without knowing if they REALLY are an idiot first...

Individually, perhaps they're not, but the "mob mentality" of the general public when they're not all thinking for themselves is historically proven to be significantly less logical or intelligent than individuals. History is legitimately FULL of examples, that makes it pretty real to most of the world....not sure what more you need to understand that.I simply stated that there are varying degrees of idiocy, and that everyone suffers from it at times. Some more than others, and that's real. Please, logically try to explain how that's so emotional...?

What political spectrum are you talking about?Do you even know what you are spewing? There is a political spectrum called the Totalitarian/Anarchy scale, guess where Both are? You got it, on the left, where government has control of everything is where you find Socialists, Communists, Fascists, Corporatists, most the OTHER ists. Where you find TRUE freedom is with Constitutionalists and Libertarians. Why not go to your masters and kiss their hand. As for calling conservatives fascist, you are so......IGNORANT!

Because everything you've written to me is veiled in fear and hate - that's how it's emotional. You can try to cover it by sounding like you're being reasonable but it doesn't work. At least not with me. Now, I don't care if you hate Glenn Beck. That's fine. But if you think nobody can tell how high your nose is in the air when you speak you are sadly mistaken. ex 1 - Hermit, your stupidity make me feel nauseous inside.ex 2 - you've probably already stopped reading, because I've started to make sense and you probably don't like that.ex 3 - the difference between me and you is that I know we're all inherently stupid sometimes.if u had left these statements out of the discussion, you wouldn't have given me the impression that you are motivated by more than just rationale. But your disgust for beck clouds your ability to curb your emotions. p.s. "but I don't really need to understand your points, because they're so far off base anyway..." Then why ask me questions about it?pretty arrogant tone wouldn't you say?

Glenn Beck: A charismatic public speaker who gives emotional speeches to his people about how much he loves his country and wishes to free them from the tyranny of oppressors who are taking the peoples hard earned money during a period of economic downturn. Obviously, no one in history has ever done that before.
notthatnoiseJun 15, 2010
no, Glenn Beck wasn't saying read this to get historical perspective, and if that's what you think you're an idiot. he's saying "look, here's people who did what we are doing now! keeping track of all the commies and socialists in america!" he quite literally said he agreed with what this book said.

Exactly.
