ripten.com — While representing Gizmodo, a very large and popular gadget blog, Richard Blakeley decided to run around with a gadget called "TV-B-Gone" turning off TVs at the CES convention. Rich is now banned for life from all future CES conventions. Will this have an adverse effect on bloggers and blogging sites in terms of access to future events?

This Blakely guy deserves what he got...what kind of f**king idiot does a prank like that and then releases of video of the action on the internet for anyone to watch???? This guy sounds like he was begging for attention, I think his punishment of being banned was too weak; ban the entire gizmodo stafffrom CES.

To all the people who are crying "SUE! SUE! SUE!"What would you sue him/them for? What is the actual charge? Loss of potential profit? Harrassment? Please explain...

Gizmodo is a very good blog that stays on top of the technological field. Just because one of them decided to play a little prank does not mean they should be regarded as the anti-christ here. Besides, this is a convention that uses booth babes to attract viewership so I doubt the professionalism standards are very high. One more thing, they openly posted their prank and openly apologized and stated that it was in jest. They also apologized to Motorola who received the bunt of the prank. I wish people would pull their collective gadgets out of their asses.
