@ianengI am sure there are thousands of people saying the same things"same screen as an iPod?... but im getting one anyway""no music store (I thought that was the whole point of it)... but im getting one anyway""No 3rd party development? That sucks.... But I'm still going to buy one"if it ate your dog and little toe there would still be people buying itbecause its from Apple and has an 'i' at the beginning....
It's inconclusive at this time. They've only announced the prices with a two year Cingular contract. If they allow people to purchase the phone without the contract it will be significantly more expensive, otherwise you'll pay the early termination fee (making it significantly more expensive). Then you'll have to find a way to unlock the phone and find another GSM network willing to provide service on it. You'd probably lose at least some of the features such as Visual Voicemail, and possibly more significant features as well. Basically it's unknown at this point whether it's nearly impossible or just really, really expensive.
Why is it that when sony releases a 499/599 device, everyone goes up in arms about price, but when Apple does it, millions of people immediately jump on board? iPhone doesn't even have a bluray player in it... :P

of course it's not, but the iPod "software" on the iPhone is probably a sneak peek of the 6th gen iPod.

@hater2win: Because Apple's doesn't suck (as much - as far as we know)?
