dailyfinance.com — After hinting it wasn't going to allow The National Enquirer to compete, the body that oversees the Pulitzer Prizes -- journalism's Oscars -- has reversed course and decided to accept the tabloid's submissions. This isn't going to please a lot of old-school journalism grandees, but it was the right thing to do.

I'm all for them winning a Pulitzer. It still won't get me to read their garbage, though.

Having the National Enquirer win a Pulitzer Prize is about as likely as a Grammy Award being awarded to The Black Eyed Peas - oh, wait...:(

This paper contains facts. And this paper has the eighth highest circulation in the whole wide world. Right? Plenty of facts. "Pregnant man gives birth." That's a fact.

They do some fantastic investigative journalism. Unfortunately its all about irrelevant celebrity BS. Imagine if they spent the effort investigating the actions of congressmen and senators that they do getting the latest papparatzi snapshot of Paris Hilton? I guess a few too many of their reporters would go missing.

I trust the Enquirer more than FOX.
