thinkprogress.org — Fox hosts insisted that it made perfect sense that soldiers overseas would prefer Fox News because “they’re getting a fair and balanced approach” to the war. Rudy Giuliani declared that if Obama “has any understanding of how American troops think,” he’d know they feel that they “get a better shake on Fox” than the other “anti-military” networks.

Zeitgeist? As a student of Near and Middle Eastern mythology I can say that the segment about history of religion is roughly 80% lies and bulls**t, made up from scratch to help the producers make their point. They go so far as to claim that the Southern Cross constellation was important to Near Eastern religious culture (it's not visible that far north), and one of their illustrations shows a sky that would only be visible from about 90 million miles north of the Sun. Never mind the "details" like the brand new role they made up for Horus in Egyptian mythology, etc. etc.I stopped watching before they moved on to more "modern" material. True, false, or unknown, anything in the film has to say must be regarded as made up bulls**t until or unless it has been thoroughly confirmed by independent sources - because the historical segment proves that the producers of Zeitgeist are more than willing to lie to sell their ideas.

Wow, a completely unexpected reply on Digg. I can't believe one of the FEW far left screaming liberals on this site managed to stumble onto my remark for comment. What are the odds?

What a load of crap. I am in the military stationed overseas, and I absolutely HATE the fact that every time I turn on the Armed Forces Network news channel all I see is that Fox News drivel. Thank God for the Internet so I can see what is actually happening in the world without going through the Fox spin machine first.
