theinquirer.net — We all knew it was going to happen. We sue McDonalds for getting us fat, then we sue for coffee being too hot and now we sue Myspace for getting us raped. It's like we can't take care of ourselves without being warned first.

I would like to see what her profile looked like.....Alot of these kids think they are adults. I don't agree with the Chesters' out there, but these kids need to be cautious and be alert of the predators out there...I mean she gave the guy her number.....wtf......

Maybe the guy wasnt as cute as she thought, so she decided to call it sexual assault?just a thought.

Instead of $30M US Dollars, maybe they should sue the guy for misuse of MySpace? for lets say a cool $100 bucks! She can put that toward a DS Lite! instead of looking for sex on the interent!

@christianw - I have a daughter (granted she's only 2) and I would never, ever allow her to be online unsupervised/unmonitored.

The actual and only guilty person is the rapist, period. There should be no people in MySpace or anywhere else looking for weak minded teens to hurt. If they are to blame anyone else because of an indirect responsibility they should blame the parents, MySpace, society and even me!The majority of us can think of an analogy that depicts the absurdity of this and other cases -like blaming rock music for violence in schools, or blaming automotive sellers for car accidents- yet there are people who still don't get it. Why?Not that it has much to do but i like this phrase from a friend: "Guns are a**holes in hands of dangerous persons"

The stupid little girl doesn't deserve a penny, at least not from MySpace. The *real* perp should be punished, but that's all.And any judge who awards this stupid, selfish child the money should be fired - what's next - women suing the Telcos for publishing their phone#'s in a phone book?

I bet she wasn't even assaulted. She probably just smelled some money after hearing some other fear mongering story about myspace.
