I'm rather thankful that they instead raised the bar on defining what most people (should) use. For a semi-hypothetical present situation example, I'm hard pressed to think of any group that has a good reason to be without access tab mix plus's features by default. Is that reason enough to assimilate it into firefox itself? No, but where do we branch when someone decides he wants the power of firefox+tabmixplus extended with a more feature rich session management system in place of tabmixplus' session saving (which for me and my preferred settings doesn't work). Fork tabmixplus, extend it, or make an extension that aggressively overrides tabmixplus? Suddenly we'd be a lot happier if what tabmixplus did was core so it could be cleanly extended.Short version: It's only natural for a baseline feature set to evolve, and holding that back can also hamper cutting edge development for the "enthusiasts."

Flashblock is really pretty pointless, considering NoScript blocks flash if you set it to... -_-
