Synaptic isn't the terminal. It's a GUI package installer. You select what you want and click install. In this case, though it's even easier, you just tell the GUI restricted manager to install it when you first try and open the file.

Thats whats great about this OS. Doesnt matter which version or how new it is, it will still run, graphics or not, on a 10yr old computer flawlessly. Paid £10 for mine. Works great while I get enough money to build a new one.

Still waiting for the 'perfect' linux to come out. Gutsy isn't perfect. I really want to support linux but 9 hours of tinkering and still can't get things to work with Gutsy. Gotta love windows PnP.
