jscms.jrn.columbia.edu — A British scientist's recent announcement that he had found a way to develop a drug that mimics the happy effects of alcohol--sociability and relaxation--without producing next-day headaches or ravaging the body sparked an immediate controversy.

Alex Albrecht is here with me, and he asks: Would Phenibut wash out of sofa material more easily than Kevin's regurgitated beer?

GHB is able to do this exact thing. You get drunk without a hangover. The only difference from an alcohol buzz is that your erections/orgasms are more intense. Of course, it's illegal now:<a class="user" href="http://www.disinfo.com/archive/pages/article/id1430/pg1/index.html">http://www.disinfo.com/archive/pages/article/id1430/pg1/index.html</a>

Word. I've found that Skyy + Water can pretty much elimate hangovers in most normal cases... but you can still over do it, of course. Skyy seems to work well for getting moderately drunk with zero hangover.

Please be cautious using acetominophen (or any other common pain reliever) with alcohol and acetominophen (brand name Tylenol) both are processed in the liver. <a class="user" href="http://www.postgradmed.com/issues/2000/01_00/draganov.htm">http://www.postgradmed.com/issues/2000/01_00/draganov.htm</a>Best to stick with the hydration, potassium, and possible some of the B vitamins. And I know it's a total downer, but though it's less of a classical disease (read: we don't see it in the hospital constantly) one shouldn't really take aspirin or caffiene with your alcohol either. <a class="user" href="http://health.yahoo.com/drug/d03439a1">http://health.yahoo.com/drug/d03439a1</a> Although there is also research suggesting that regular caffeine use (not at the same time) can protect against cirrhosis (alcoholic liver damage) Save your liver for processing alcohol by not taking other liver-stressing drugs at the same time!

Hey, question for Vortical (hopefully you read this). Are there any risks or dangers in taking Phenibut with alcohol (mainly health/organ issues)? This sounds like a great alternative when compared to simply drinking more. I've researched and asked around, but have found no answer to this. Even scholarly articles don't mention anything on a negative health interaction (even though many who sell it say you shouldn't take it with alcohol). Also, what other cool drugs do you know of that are legal (nootropics I guess is what they are called)? I find this stuff pretty interesting :).
