dailystab.com — Does George have what it takes to get this straightened out? In a bid to end the strikes, George Clooney is attempting to step it up by offering to act as a mediator between the Writers Guild of America (WGA) union members and Hollywood bosses.

Thanks for sharing. Judging by the lousy programming that has come about through TV writing, I offer my assistance to keep the strike going. Seriously I do wish they would write programs that stimulate peoples minds and imaginations. I have a hard time watching TV because I can tell how the programs are going to end. Every ending has been shared by so many programs. The only difference are the actors. A great example is Disney. You start out getting to know the characters, then they incorporate an animal to destroy everything around it making you say I am glad I don't have to clean up that mess. Then your are suppose to think that all is going so bad and the bad guys are going to win, then wham! Everything comes out okay in the end. I have seen this scenario in every Disney movie.

The best way for this to work is to get SAG and DGA in the room at the same time. The AMPTA is going to have to face them very soon and whatever happens with the writers will set a precedent for those additional negotiations. They need to be addressed all at once or this strike will either continue or see a second round in 6 months.

One must admire George Clooney. He's not the typical ignorant celebrity. He's a man with strong opinions. A note to the writers, please save Lost, Heroes and Prison Break for us audience.

Well it is like the domino effect on the local economy. The longer each group holds back, the mor th economy crashes. Well, at least the housing prices might get back in line with whqat they are worth. Right now, it is a total rip off! Sorry for all the small businesses who rely on the entertainment companies to use their services. Theya re out of work too. And agree with the one poster here....maybe better shows will emerge. what happened to shows that engage you in the character's lives? Now we have to watch reruns or remakes of reality shows, which are garbage! But if it means that TV programs and movies with actual substance emerge...well i am all for that.
