Write congress. Gentoo needs a 700mb bailout before they accidentally the whole distribution. Seriously I had fun with gentoo back in the day. Remember kids "Gentoo is Rice"

gentoo is fun and it surely is highly configurable but if you want an easy (as in fast and as automatic as possible ) to update system then it's not the right choice. The harder it is for you to update the less likely to do it.
