Hmmm...how bout making biker leathers out of this stuff? I read in a popular Sience mag once they were trying to make a bullet proof vest out of this stuff cause of how lite weight it would be.
I wonder if this material can somehow be applied to computers & technology. Shielding for wires, for example. If it's super strong, yet highly flexible, I'd think it could be applied in any instance where you'd want a strong protective material.

Back when I was in high school my science teacher told us about this study and how they were experimenting with spider silk for bridges.
