The score system seems very different in that regard; I'm not even sure (partway through the game) that there is a shimmering window score. For that matter, the strategy feels different, and tougher than before (e.g. mana is tougher to accumulate); except for a non-working shortcut key (for gem creation), though, I love it no less than the first (a lot).

I am excited it is finally out, but I hope you've learned how to gauge release dates better, seriously. I know 4 people who were excited for the initial release date, and then you played us with four extensions, and they refuse to play it now. Don't alienate the fans who care enough to check blogs, and just leave the release date open if you aren't sure. That said, you are a wonderful developer, and the game is excellent so far. <3.

You have to also destroy all the beacons, in addition to the secondary monster buildings and rubble.

Great update, but I do agree that the difficulty is a bit too high. I'm up to the 22nd map, but I've had to go back and replay nearly every previous map, and all the available alternate modes, grabbing as much extra XP as I can just so I can continue progressing. I just don't have enough mana, or enough power from the gems, or not enough time, or whatever, and I even re-allocate my skill points to take advantage of specific gems and whatnot.I shouldn't have to grind XP like I do.Otherwise, I really love the game, and the new gameplay elements add a lot of variety. Though I do wish the trap tooltips were a little more clear. I still don't really know why I'd ever want to stick a yellow, lime, or red gem in a trap besides damage, and they seem to do more damage in towers anyway.

Ahhh! I have a burning question, but it's not really that important...what's up with minimum and maximum damage? Is it affected by armor level, or is it just random? please?? Anybody???
