- from the linked cookie recipefor (int i = 0; i < tinFoil.size(); i++) { Cookie cookie = (Cookie) tinFoil.get(i); if (!cookie.isCooked()) { stillWaiting = true; break; } }dang, that's too bad. I wanted to bake these cookies but it's terrible programming to break out of a for-loop, my CS teacher would kill me, and our AP's coming up.
Well if I actually had the habits outlined in this sales pitch I would certainly consider self-alteration on my own. There's nothing especially impressive about 1. living in your own filth 2. being unable to shave 3. eating out of a microwave 4. wearing t-shirts with inane imagery 5. watching crappy wb/cw programming 6. living in your mother's bumSo in the context of the humorous caricature presented 'fixing your geek up' makes some sense. Though to some extent it just sounds like the sort of thing certain types of women think with all potential mates.
Here's part of the equation: chick + prick guy = sexy time (short term relationship) chick + nice guy = marriage (long term relationship)It is what it is, it is not fair for the nice guy or the chick that gets treated like trash, it has something to do with evolution or some s**t like that. I think you guys are smart enough to figure this out.
Thanks so much for being the one to mention this. If you hadn't, I would have had to. I just noticed it's linked to from TFA too. Good for the author :PAm I the only one who thinks this new article is just a (bad) rip-off/rewrite of the Girl's Guide to Geek Guys? And an offending one. The writing style is unbelievably blunt. If there's any humor in there, it's pretty good at camouflage. "The best way train your geek, is to adopt methods similar to those used in dog obedience classes." Thank you.Do yourself a favor and read the Guide. Look at the "Post-It Note" section, for example. That's subtle and cute, and I don't even like Star Trek. This Geek or Chic thing? Jackhammers and needles.I read the "original" back in 1995, I believe, I hope that adds some geek cred. I also showed it to my girlfriend, who seems to be delighted by the fact that _other_ women like their geeks -- it makes her like hers better, too ;)
Girl knows what she's talking about...that howto section is _exactly_ how I snagged my geek. Turns out, he liked me for years and waited for me to make the first move. Totally. worth. the. wait.
