There is nothing wrong with educating children that it is acceptable to be gay. So long as you don't say that being gay is "better" - or, incidentally that being straight is "better" either.Both are primal biological urges. A gay person can no more "turn straight" than a straight person can "turn gay" - so why not simply accept that and let everyone get on with their lives as if it was an irrelevence?

For all the people that believe that being gay is a choice, Neuroscientist Simon Levay has done scientific research that has proven that the hypothalamus gland governing sexual behavior is about twice as large in heterosexual men as it is in homosexual men. I am a lesbian. Yes, I was raped and molested. So what? There are millions of straight persons in the world who have been sexually abused. So the argument that the reason I'm gay is because I was a victim of sexual activities against my will is complete bulls**t. Okay so I'm physically, emotionally, and mentally attracted to my girlfriend (whom, I may add, has had a nice upbringing and has never been sexually assaulted by the opposite sex). I didn't choose to fall in love with her, just like my mother didn't choose to fall in love with my dad. Just like you didn't choose to have your heart broken. Just like you didn't choose to have a birth defect. If I could choose my sexual orientation, I would honestly never want to be straight. I am so thankful that I am in love with this amazing woman.
