GATES WAS IN THE WRONG...Period! A similar situation happened to me a couple of months ago. I was outside of my house one night, about to get something to eat and I forgot what my brother's girlfriend wanted. I knocked on his window to ask and a cop rode by and pointed his spot light at me. He called me over to identify me. I am damn glad he did that.Gates should of shut his mouth and appreciated that the cops responded so well. But no, he wanted to add race into the mix. I wouldn't of drop the charges. You don't get an attitude in front of a cop.Oh, I'm white.
Fixed it for you.....Amazing how many are railing against President Obama for taking a personal interest in the lives of the people who leveraged their position and trust to sell Obama to the uninformed. How unlike any president to publicly acknowledge their personal favors, and I find it Horrifying!Let's face it, the only reason that Obama even mentioned this guy was because he owed him a favor. There are tons worse recorded, documented, and confirmed racially motivated police abuses. Why pick some arrogant gas bag who deserved to be taken down a notch to rally behind?
@archiesteelWow. This is what they are teaching in school now? That "Racism" is only a white attitude? And that racism towards whites from other ethnicities are just "misguided prejudice".So let me get this straight. Someone (whire) raised all their life to hate blacks or other ethnicities can't be similarly "misguided" in their "prejudice"?Your logic is circular and faulty sir.

In the words of the Press Secretary Gibbs "But there are 10,000 more important issues for people in this country to discuss."

I don't know why they didn't spend hours on a press conference about gates, and leave the last 2 minute question to address health care.
