As said by "Three Dead Trolls in a Baggie", every OS sucks.I don't need to botherwith reasons for Windows, that's beating a dead horse.OSX has far fewer viruses, and a slightly more idiot proof interface, but they still have ambiguous errors, and the whole "Things Just Work" claim they throw around is utter crap, ir has just as many problems as Windows, but less third party software.Linux is great with it's uber security and stability, but lacks the idiot proof interface for those who don't want to ever see a terminal window. (Ubuntu is a step in the right direction, but still not nearly perfect.)

Thats interesting.....I actually payed less than the same hardware from dell (we have a gold dell account as well) when I got my 24" iMac. 2.66 core 2 duo..... with a nvidia 7600 gts. (8800 was not out yet) with 2 gig o ram. I also did not have to purchase any special software (or shell out $100-300 for my os), came with speakers, came with camera, came with keyboard, came with mouse, came with 802.11n, came with bluetooth, and all cables needed... all in a small package with less shipping than dell charges.I can take my iMac to friends houses using only one hand to carry everything I need and no chance of losing anything.Maybe its just me, but windows zealots seem to forget the additional costs they pay with their Dells. Office suites, anti virus, burning software etcetc. As for performance, yeah.. its true. Macs GRAPHICS drivers are not as mature as windows based at the cost of 2-5fps depending...... thats about it. Filesystem is better, load times are better, and network speeds re better (no NT tcpip stack here!)So in closing, yeah you got me Billy lover.... your $2500 dell machine beats my $1500 iMac (with a 24" screen included) by 2-5 fps...... hey grats! Hope that virus and spyware doesn't bite your ass.p.s. I have been a Network Engineer now for 10 years was a admin and technician for the 10 before that. I made my living on Microsoft and HATED mac until 0S X hit. They EARNED my respect from making a great running and working OS on hardware that works WELL.p.p.s Mac servers are 10-30% cheaper than similarly priced dell servers....p.p.p.s You can get a mac mini which is dual core for $499.... what can you get on dell for that?

Gametap Sucks!! First of all, You can't import/export a character from one version of a game to another. I played BGI all the way through and come to find out that I couldn't import the character I beefed up into BG2. WTF! Next, more than half the games dont work properly. The mouse is limited to half the screen or you cant see the mouse all together. Last, Tech support is no help at all. It took 2 weeks of constant hounding to get them to fix my problem. I started with online tech support who obviously didnt read my full emials b/c the morons kept sending me the same solution that I kept telling them wasn't working. Then they started ignoring me all together. So I had to move to calling them everyday. Never subscribe to form emails. Or Gametap for that matter.
