kotaku.com— The alleged practice of GameStop lending new copies of games to employees at their stores and then later selling those games as new, unused copies, may be a violation of federal law.

Haha, wow you have some terrible f**king GameStops in your area bro, none of them are like that in our district at all and I can say that with a fact knowing it's true. Most of the employees around here either don't really play games at all or are RPG nerds. Hell, the few of them that are the CoD4 1337 g4m3rz we usually just mock the s**t out of when they have an opinion on a game that isn't GTA, CoD, Madden or some s**t. They're called gramers btw.
My brother used to do that with burned out light bulbs. He would buy new ones at Walmart, put the old ones in the box, and get a refund. Essentially getting them for free.
Hey guys the same thing happened to me at Gamestop and is one of the many reasons why I started www.gameleaper.com, we are not a huge company just a startup in public beta. However, we do not charge you a high commission to sell your games, infact we charge 0% which is better the anything out there. It's free to list your games, participate in the community, read and write game reviews and everything else. Check it out and let us know what you think and if you like it please spread the word. We are also giving away a Nintendo Wii as part of the public beta launch. www.gameleaper.com
In fact I just got back from gamestop to buy god of war and i ran into the exact same thing. They have the generic Gamestop box with a typed out "God of War" on it with a "New" sticker at the top. That's f**king ridiculous that it still costs just as much money.
I know this is bs, i bought halo 3 and i stick it in my XBOX 360 and the disk says"please put this disk in a xbox 360 console". It is a xbox 360 so wtf i hate gamestop!
The saddest part about this is that something like this happened to me once, when i first bought a brand new Ratchet n Clank game, i got out and opened it (ripped the gloss thing off) and i CAREFULY took out the game and there was a ****ing scratch on it

Always pay with plastic. You can instigate a charge back. I just got $100 back in bad luggage fees charged to me by Delta.
