Where were they when MTV stopped showing music? Pre-K I would assume... MTV stopped showing music a LONG time ago... even if we count RAP and Hippity Hoppity as "music"

Well, I know people would probably groan if they introduced new species to the BSG Galaxy, but come on guys, it could be done well. Depending on the Drake equation, there could be anywhere from one intelligent species (us) to billions. The old series had episodes where the surviving humans were either confronted or helped by other species. Think about it - they're the last remnants with few supplies - they're going to run into others interested in taking advantage of them and would have to rely on the grace of others. By focusing on only cylons and the search for Earth, it becomes a two plot series and you can't support a series for years by confronting cylons and then running away. And yeah - the tech sucks. They seriously need to upgrade it - their only problem is networking the computer systems which creates a single point of failure by cyclon hacking. Computers and robots can still do a lot more s**t even if they aren't networked.

Why all the worry about it ending? A series should end when its natural story arc is completed. Otherwise, the show starts looking desperate - and it becomes a boring parody of itself. See Lost In Space, Star Trek, Star Wars, etc. It's not like there's any shortage of material for new series. Just visit the scifi section of any good bookstore. Have BSG run its course, then start up a new one. Rinse, repeat.

I am sorry but I have a hard time with you so called fans with the s**t that comes out of your mouth maybe you'd be better off watching American idle with the rest of the drones in this world go watch more reality tv s**t and leave the good shows to us people that want something good to watch. Let me first start off saying anybody saying this season of bsg is bad and it made you stop watching yeah bs this season has been great. There was nothing wrong with farscape nothing wrong with firefly and there is no way bsg can be wrapped up in only one more season. I do agree I don't want it get to the point where it gets bad and lasts ten seasons another two is fine but if they cut it off before then they are retards. Other then Atlantis and sg1 leaving I would have no reason to watch scifi channel anymore. To all you people bitching about sg1 leaving its not freaking leaving they are going to do another two or three direct to dvd movies and even then I doubt it will die off at that. And Atlantis is not a dumb show Atlantis was breath of fresh air over sg1. Sg1 has gotten stale face it I have watched sg1 ever since it started on showtime the show has had a tremendous run most series would be lucky to have run that long so please let it go. The Dresden Files is a joke as is Eureka don't get me wrong I do watch them but alot of the times I find myself clicking off the tv. Why is it when people are not constently shooting eatch other people call it a soap opera they can't be shooting at each other all the time.

I think the detractors aren't saying "Battlestar needs more space shooting!"Its that formerly, battlestar's characters were developed out of and through the situations they encountered, a characters will was tested under fire, whether in battle, or in the political arena, or during interrogations, or within the ranks. Now, characters just talk, and talk, and its supposed to lead up to something eventually, but it never really does, an episode can go by without anything really happening. There is no more of that on the spot drama and acting. In my mind, some of the best character development in the entire show was the firefights on kobol, with Cali, Gaius, and the other grunts. Bullets were flying, but their characters were never developed better.

"first stargate SG-1, now this!!? what incompetents are running the sci-fi network?"SG-1 started to get stupid the last few seasons, starting around the time of "Merlin's magic weapon", Dragons and such. More series should be ended sooner - Yes, it's sad to have a show ended, but it's better to have a good ending, than the show to get crappier and crappier until the point people stop watching, and it gets canceled (And thus very abrupt endings)There is only so much writers can do with a set of characters and possible locations - Some lend themselves to long-running shows better than others, The Simpsons, for example (Atleast up until the 10th seasons where it started to get more and more.. immature?), but BSG doesn't really seem like it has much more it can do. The third series doesn't seem like it has many original outcomes, they either stay stuck on New Caprica (Which doesn't seem like it has much left, storywise), or they get rescued and are back in the ships (Like the first two series, which again was running out of story-possibilities), or they find Earth, which would be very difficult to do well.I'd *far far* prefer if the network ended such a popular show because their running out of ideas, rather than milk every-last-penny from the show and utterly ruin it.

One word...Syndication:4 seasons is the minimum required for network syndication..after that well they can either keep going with the Earth battles or start the new series Caprica.

Starbuck finds a StarGate.Merge Battlestar with StarGate. It would be nice to see the Gould/Cylons fighting the Terran group. It's an idea with lots of potential, more money and sales too.I'w watch every show of Stargate Galactica. (or is it Battlestar SG-1)

Ever stop to think that it won't be the Sci-Fi channel for much longer? My gut tells me that it will be renamed in the next 12 to 18 months.

"All the other ships have the new fangled stuff, and were easy prey for the cylons during the initial attack because they can easily manipulate all the computers. Thus you have the transistor radios, and a lot of the stuff is manual."I'm sorry, but that doesn't explain why there is ANY more advanced (than us) technology. Other than space travel and being able to create artificial intelligence, in a lot of ways, our tech is more advanced. Why not have computer interfaces like "Minority Report". You can still have such interfaces w/o computers being networked. Heck, today in our society, people are making interfaces like this, only with touch screens. If we have technology like this NOW, then the Battlestar Gallactica universe should also have this technology - if not better. Even if it's an older ship it should still have some kind of technology inside of it that makes it seem more advanced than us: i.e. medical gear, weapons, transportation, etc. Plus, some other ships in the fleet should have more advanced tech; they're not as old as Gallactica. I think the writers use the reason "we want to make sure the viewer stays in the story" as a crutch. The only real reasons why they don't have more advanced tech, is because they think they need to spend a fortune on CGI to show this tech AND b/c they can't find more creative ways to show simple tech that wouldn't cost them anything on CGI: i.e. a different kind of cigarette lighter or light source.

what the hell guys! season 3 was klass!and of course there are gonna be some fillers in between episodes.....its called character development. other wise it would be a bunch of randomers than no 1 cared about flying through space getting them selves killed cause the cylons got bored and wanted to play kill the humans and steal each home they go too.and i dont think that the chief, colonel tigh, anders and the annoying presidents aid are cylons! they are all prob decendants of priests of kobol or something OR they were all captured on new caprica and brain washed.
