Zeitgeist and its Addendum can be a sensitive topic. My feeling is that there is mixed abundance inherent in the film. I think it has woken people up. It also has, unfortunately, the potential to be divisive.I don't agree with everything implied in the films, but there is a creative element of "dreaming in" something new in them which I very much enjoy. Dreams need to be nurtured. Just because a particular dream hasn't manifested in the material plane yet, doesn't mean that it lacks value.
Zeitgeist is pro-New World Order and Anti-Patriot.I listen to the Alex Jones radio / internet show (on <a class="user" href="http://www.InfoWars.com/">http://www.InfoWars.com/</a> ), and this past Wednesday, Alex interviewed the CREATOR / AUTHOR / PRODUCER of the Zeitgeist movie, Peter Murphy. You can download the podcast recording of Alex Jones internet/radio show, here:<a class="user" href="http://rss.nfowars.net/20081015_Wed_Alex.mp3">http://rss.nfowars.net/20081015_Wed_Alex.mp3</a>(The first 1/3 of the show has Alex talking about other things, and he REALLY gets into the meat of the show by finally conducting his interview of Peter Murphy, creator of Zeitgeist + Addendum, in the last two-thirds (2/3) of the show's podcast)Also check out the poll on Alex Jones' site:<a class="user" href="http://www.InfoWars.com/">http://www.InfoWars.com/</a>(on right side of page)Following Alex's discussion with Zeitgeist producer Peter Joseph, our question today is: Considering the limitations of human nature and societal conditioning, is a Utopian society achievable?...Zeitgeist is possibly [a false New World Order front of] dis-information and to me it seems a very false misleading path. I was invited to join the "Venus Project" and "Future by Design" groups here on Facebook and just by reading the information on those groups pages, I could tell that they did not line up with Biblical Eschatology at all, so I will not join or have any part in them. I USED MY OWN THINKING to figure that out, by the way, as nowhere in the Bible does it say (nor did anyone tell me verbatim) that "Zeitgeist / Venus Project / Jacques [whatever] is the wrong path." NO I did not listen to anyone else and used MY OWN THINKING to figure it out for myself!!!! It does not even matter how I FEEL about it, it matters how I THINK about it!! Zeitgeist AND even moreso, Addendum, is very misleading!!!...In the original meaning of Communism there was also the denial or removal of "all money" as a societal force.Quoting a source: <a class="user" href="http://skin.bebo.com/Profile.jsp?MemberId=3088823448">http://skin.bebo.com/Profile.jsp?MemberId=30888234 ...</a>"In a communist society, there is no such thing as money. No money you might say? 'How does that work?' Well money was created so that one set of owners doesn't get screwed over by another set of owners but in a society where all the factories, businesses and workplaces are owned in common, we could plan out the months ahead to provide what we need. What need would there be for money? Since we would all be working together to provide what we need, it would eliminate the need for managers and officials that we pay when all they do is tell us to work harder. Also we would have no need for all those politicians and bureaucrats who try to convince us that we should leave our lives in the hands of professionals who have no idea of what we deal with in our day-to-day lives. This would also eliminate the need for profit driven businesses like marketing and advertising. We would be able to work less and enjoy life more."-- end source quote --You know that sounds almost EXACTLY like what Peter Murphy is saying about Zeitgeist [and the Venus Project, too!], and especially on his interview by Alex Jones. Peter Murphy said the exact same things!Karl Marx also DEMONIZES the idea of money and says the same things that Peter Murphy and Zeitgeist+A both say!!! Karl Marx wrote, in "The Power Of Money" (1844): "Money, then, appears as this distorting power both against the individual and against the bonds of society, etc., which claim to be entities in themselves. It transforms fidelity into infidelity, love into hate, hate into love, virtue into vice, vice into virtue, servant into master, master into servant, idiocy into intelligence, and intelligence into idiocy.""Since money, as the existing and active concept of value, confounds and confuses all things, it is the general confounding and confusing of all things — the world upside-down — the confounding and confusing of all natural and human qualities."<a class="user" href="http://www.marxists.org/archive/marx/works/1844/manuscripts/power.htm">http://www.marxists.org/archive/marx/works/1844/ma ...</a>MONEY ITSELF is not evil nor is it the root of all evil! That is a very common mis-perception!!!! MONEY ITSELF is a good and NECESSARY THING. These two problems, state & money, have a number of traits in common, for they both reduce themselves in the last analysis to the problem of problems: productivity of labor. State compulsion like money compulsion is an inheritance from class society, which is incapable of defining the relations of man to man except in the form of fetishes, churchly or secular, after appointing to defend them the most alarming of all fetishes, the state, with a great knife between its teeth. In a communist society, the state and money will disappear. They gradual dying away ought consequently to begin under socialism. We shall be able to speak of the actual triumph of socialism only at that historical moment when the state turns into a semistate, and money begins to lose its magic power. This will mean that socialism, having freed itself from capitalist fetishes, is beginning to create a more lucid, free and worthy relation among men. Such characteristically anarchist demands as the *abolition* of money, *abolition* of wages, or *liquidation* of the state and family, posses interest merely as models of mechanical thinking. They match almost word for word! Communism is the enemy of Christianity (which THEY would classify as religion / unquestionable faith). Peter Murphy also classifies people of faith as being "unthinking" and "blind". [If you listen to the interview, those were actually] HIS WORDS! Here is the problem that Peter Murphy (and ANYONE who follows in his footsteps by embracing the Zeitgeist Movement and/or Venus Project) still faces, when a person still persists in classifying "religion" (especially Christianity) as "blind faith" and "unthinking": The non-Spiritual Mind (the unregenerate, a person who has not "been born-again"), CANNOT (is not able to) understand (their thinking is limited!!) the things of the Spirit, for it is still yet DEAD to Spirit!Read this:----Friday, January 04, 20087 Reasons People Do Not Understand the Bible, by Pastor RodMost people do not understand the Bible.I've addressed several specific passages that people tend to misunderstand. But in this post I want to look at why people so often misunderstand what they read in the Bible. I can think of at least seven reasonsRead more here about why it is actually people like those who support Zeitgeist, who are the blind and unthinking ones, and not the "religious" and people of faith: <a class="user" href="http://pastorrod.blogspot.com/2008/01/7-reasons-people-do-not-understand.html">http://pastorrod.blogspot.com/2008/01/7-reasons-pe ...</a>----Zeitgeist 1+2(Addendum) + Venus Project = ATHEISTIC FALSE paths, pro-NWO/Matrix/Communism/Theosophy!Zeitgeist + Addendum is COMMUNIST / ATHEIST / New Age / Theosophist CRAP!Compare everything that Peter Joseph says to the Marxists and you see complete alignment!Peter Joseph is someone who thinks he can have it both ways: he wants himself and society to be ATHEISTIC communists, and yet, totally embraces a New Age religion and vision for the future - neither of which are compatible and yet are at odds with each other! He is going to form part of the biblical formulation of "Iron and Clay" as foretold in the book of Daniel, when the New World Order builds it's "One World Government" upon MANY RELIGIONS, 1 of which will be the in-road provided by Peter Joseph and Zeitgeist (And Addendum) - you CANNOT have it both ways!!Jesus Christ said that each man can only have 1 Master! (Matthew 6:24 reads: "No one can serve two masters. Either he will hate the one and love the other, or he will be devoted to the one and despise the other. You cannot serve both God and Money.")Peter Joseph (and those who espouse Zeitgeist) are encouraging people TO SERVE (and thus worship) MANY MASTERS = every making of their hands = TECHNOLOGY. In the interview with Alex Jones, Peter Joseph calls Technology "the savior of mankind" (do I sense "THE MATRIX" Man Versus Machine / Terminator SkyNet / Trans-Humanist N.W.O. / Neo-Evolution / Eugenics overtones here, or what???) - that IS IDOLATRY (and so is serving many masters, ie: the ideals of Atheism AND New Age religions) and ALL OF THE ABOVE is BLASPHEMOUS, according to the Bible!I do agree with some things in the movie, and it can never be told enough about the truths of our present problems, but removing money from our society is NOT the answer!!Zeitgeist 1+2(Addendum) + Venus Project are just deceptive, ATHEISTIC, FALSE paths, leading people right back to the "safe comforting arms" of their Elite Controllers!
Herd Mentality -> Individualism -> Group ConsciousnessThis is a natural evolution of awareness. Group Consciousness is NOT the same as "collectivism" as expressed in the last century. It is a universal law, the law of Light and Reflection, that what we see in others is a reflection our own selves. By working at transmuting our own shortcomings, which are our tickets to power, we begin to change what we see reflecting back to us. By uplifting themselves in this way, we uplift those around us. As each FULLY INDIVIDUALIZED, independent unit of the whole begins to work individually at uplifting themselves in this manner, the entire Group begins to generate synergy. This is a forward step in human evolution, as mankind moves from the development and identification with the rational mind, which was the hallmark and essence of the Piscean age, to now coming from the Heart. Christ demonstrated what it means to come from the Heart. But the face value of His Teachings might sound like collectivism, too,... if their greater Wisdom is not apprehended. To say that there IS no ultimate separation between you and me is not just a nice sounding expression, it is a truth if we were to identify with our Self, our essential being. I'd like to put this challenging passage from the biblical cannon on the table to ponder upon with respect to these ideas:Acts 4:31 through 5:11(4) 31: And when they had prayed, the place was shaken where they were assembled together; and they were all filled with the Holy Ghost, and they spake the word of God with boldness.32: And the multitude of them that believed were of one heart and of one soul: neither said any of them that ought of the things which he possessed was his own; but they had all things common.33: And with great power gave the apostles witness of the resurrection of the Lord Jesus: and great grace was upon them all.34: Neither was there any among them that lacked: for as many as were possessors of lands or houses sold them, and brought the prices of the things that were sold,35: And laid them down at the apostles' feet: and distribution was made unto every man according as he had need.36: And Joses, who by the apostles was surnamed Barnabas, (which is, being interpreted, The son of consolation,) a Levite, and of the country of Cyprus,37: Having land, sold it, and brought the money, and laid it at the apostles' feet. (5) 1: But a certain man named Ananias, with Sapphira his wife, sold a possession,2: And kept back part of the price, his wife also being privy to it, and brought a certain part, and laid it at the apostles' feet.3: But Peter said, Ananias, why hath Satan filled thine heart to lie to the Holy Ghost, and to keep back part of the price of the land?4: Whiles it remained, was it not thine own? and after it was sold, was it not in thine own power? why hast thou conceived this thing in thine heart? thou hast not lied unto men, but unto God.5: And Ananias hearing these words fell down, and gave up the ghost: and great fear came on all them that heard these things.6: And the young men arose, wound him up, and carried him out, and buried him.7: And it was about the space of three hours after, when his wife, not knowing what was done, came in.8: And Peter answered unto her, Tell me whether ye sold the land for so much? And she said, Yea, for so much.9: Then Peter said unto her, How is it that ye have agreed together to tempt the Spirit of the Lord? behold, the feet of them which have buried thy husband are at the door, and shall carry thee out.10: Then fell she down straightway at his feet, and yielded up the ghost: and the young men came in, and found her dead, and, carrying her forth, buried her by her husband.11: And great fear came upon all the church, and upon as many as heard these things.
Communism, in practice, still has banks, money, and elitism. These are not part of the society that Zeitgeist talks about. I think we all need to step back from the things we are scared of, and look at the real point - dealing with scarcity. The air we breathe is abundant (for now) and we don't see anyone seeking control of it, or selling it for a profit. If most people knew the fact that we have the technology and intelligence today to create an abundance of most goods and services, I think we could have a decent conversation about the possibility of this sort of world, and how we would have no motivation for criminal activity if we lived among an abundance.I think the most productive way to be skeptical of Zeitgeist would be to find real world scenarios where people compete over things when there actually is an abundance. I've tried this, and I haven't found a single example. But I'm open to the possibility. Remember, Peter Joseph is attacking the institution of the Church, not necessarily what Jesus taught. If you listen to what Jesus taught - he threw the money-changers (bankers) out of the church, he spoke out against institution, tradition, and possessions. And most of all, he taught us to seek unity and not division. These concepts are completely in line with the resource-based economy that Zeitgeist proposes, and in this type of society we would be free to still worship our God however we see fit. Religion wouldn't be taken away, we just wouldn't fight each other over it. Jesus would not want us to be fighting over it I don't think.Let's look at the things that our visions have in common, and I think we would see that they far outweigh the differences. We all want an end to poverty, corruption, and war. But if we continue to engage in symantic arguments we will never agree on things.
"It never ceases to amaze me how people think that the solution to money created out of nothing by those big, bad bankers is to have money created out of nothing by those nice, trustworthy politicians. Yet, that is what this program supports."Hmmm. Stopped reading there. If that line didn't raise an eyebrow, then you're probably in no position to have an opinion on Zeitgeist addendum.
