time.com— "If McCain were half the principled gentleman he pretends to be, he would drop out now in favor of Rush Limbaugh. Now there's a Republican you can sink your teeth into."

Quote: "Among current or recent figures in American public life, only Colin Powell shares McCain's mystical ability to make liberals believe he secretly agrees with them, no matter what he actually says. And Powell has to work at having it both ways. For McCain, it's a gift.Mitt Romney demonstrated that there are limits to how many brazen flip-flops the voters will tolerate. But when people believe you are telling the truth if you agree with them and lying if you disagree, you don't need to flip-flop. What a brilliant bluff the Republicans have been acting out these past couple of years! It's like the elaborate hoax in the movie The Sting. They had us convinced that their nominating process was some version of the Salem witch trials, testing the candidates for any sign of heresy and hanging or drowning the ones who flunked. Then they choose the very guy many Republicans most suspect of being a witch. If you doubt that the whole thing was staged, just consider who the runner-up was. How could a party truly dedicated to self-destruction through ideological purity end up with the choice of McCain or Romney?"
For the people that keep spreading that conspiracy bulls**t about McCain's time at Hanoi, I say you should be tortured for 5 years until your hair turns white and you can't raise your arms above your head. Then once you get out people will deny that it ever happened to you, and insist the opposite, that you were treated to a comfortable life.Throw in some allegation about having an illegitimate black child (his wife adopted a child from an orphanage while with Mother Theresa) and being a Manchurian candidate and you'll have some idea the kind of s**t McCain has had to put up with. It sickens me when people will believe hearsay about a candidate's service record (same with how Kerry got swift boated) just because said candidate doesn't agree with them on all the issues.P.S. Only on Digg could you find a pro-McCain article spun to be a negative one. The article never even accuses him of being liberal or a democrat... they simply say that democrats like him because he's "honest, courageous, likable and intelligent."
Sunking, people like you make me sick. There are countless pages of evidence, testimony, and support from veterans and POWs who spent time with and even shared a cell with McCain. There has never been any ground on the accusations made against McCain, mostly from a man named "Ted Sampley". Which is hilarious because if you GOOGLE TED SAMPLEY you will find out just how big of a nut he is (and blatantly racist towards Obama).Even the Swift Boaters refused to attack McCain, when Sampley sent out anti-McCain flyers with a fake Swift boat sticker... the SBVFT countered saying that they had a profound respect for McCain and the sacrifices that he made.I've never spent 5 years as a PoW, I've never been tortured, but I know that if I did and ass hats like you actually started spreading lies and bulls**t like Sampley and his cronies have, it would be unforgivable. What's next against the crusade against McCain, when will we start seeing fliers about his "illegitimate child" again, how low are you willing to sink to bring down McCain?
