Virtually the same exact thing happened at the DNC:http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UauvX76lxeESo did we just discover another Obama lie? McCain can't keep his party from toning it down and Obama can't keep his from taking lobyist money to throw the same sorts of parties. Politicians are sleazy, get over it.No, I'm not a McCain supporter, far from it, but is it so hard to be objective instead of hypocritical?
OMG, so many things to bitch about. Im not trying to be a politico, I'm trying to instill some reason into the world of Digg. What about the ABC reporter who got arrested, harassed and berated for following up on the Dems and their parties. (I live in Denver, and bars I stopped going to when I was 22 because they were tasteless were hosting VIP Dem Galas, so lets not argue class)http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=T6eGWgA6yNcAnd further, as anyone who watched the complete news coverage knows, the first 15 minutes of each network's nightly news covered Gustav, and how little impact there was. Maybe the reason the ABC guy was arrested was because the Dems didnt want their parties filmed, because the same footage could be caught there. Hats off to the Dems for being saavy, and.....well, stupidity should be expected out of the GOP.
Earlier, there was an article about McCain canceling or postponing the convention, and all the Digg comments were calling him lame for grandstanding. Now that the Gustav wasn't as bad as expected, and the GOP is continuing the convention as usual, they are once again lame. This is a great example as to why politics don't work on Digg. It's campaigning for the most popular candidate/party, and it's all done in 100% black and white, which paints a completely false view of BOTH parties.-Pie
