huffingtonpost.com — During President Obama's speech to a joint session of Congress tonight regarding health care reform, Republican Congressman Joe Wilson (R-S.C.) yelled out "you lie" when the President said his health care bill would not mandate coverage for illegal immigrants. WATCH:

My political views are moderate but a little more towards the conservative side not the left so naturally I registered republican and I crossed party party lines, as they say, last November and voted the Obama/Biden ticket Im not life long dedicated to anything except my Christian Faith that however will never change.

Finding that for you kind of defeats the purpose of my post, which is to get people research on their own instead of swallowing what we're fed. And I'm not really interested in what you concede. I have a feeling you're not interested in the same health care I want no matter who lies. However, since you did respond back, <a class="user" href="http://www.opencongress.org/bill/111-h3200/text?version=ih&amp;nid=t0:ih:884" rel="nofollow">http://www.opencongress.org/bill/111-h3200/text?ve ...</a>This provision basically says that instead of reinventing the wheel on fraud and abuse enforcement, whether from illegals or anywhere else, just use the same law that currently protects the government's other health care interests. Which if you think about it it makes sense to not invent MORE bureaucracy. Now, if we find the False Claims Act lacking in any way, we fix that law separately, but doing so protects the entire umbrella of government health care initiatives, not just this one.Glad you're interested in finding the facts and not just listening to talking heads. I just hope you continue to do so.

What does anything McCain says have to do with the price of tea in China?

The one who is partisan is the person who makes excuses for the behavior on one side versus the other. I am no GOP apologizer and not a fan of many of them. I said that I felt he should have restrained himself. You on the other hand made excuses for the democrats. The only reason you DO see adifference is because you DO want to for partisan reasons.

Pretty sloppy lawmaking, though.Look at the wording:Nothing in this subtitle shall allow Federal payments for affordability credits on behalf of individuals who are not lawfully present in the United States. If I visit the USA, I am "lawfully present" in the USA. And this theoretically entitled to claim federal benefitsSimple wording:"The provisions of this bill shall only apply to legal residents of the United States."Problem.Solved.

Hey where was that guy from who caned that other guy on the house floor? Oh yeah S.C. Oh what a tradition. And look, I know it goes on in other parliments, but it is against the code of conduct for ours. Boos & groans are acceptable just like in a SOTU, but catcalls are not. He crossed a line. Its like the difference between going to a football and golf event. Both are sports, but in one yelling out like that is unacceptable. Its the unspoken code of conduct that people with dignity abide by.

The lie is that if any bill that comes out does not expressly state that it supersedes EMTALA, then illegals will be treated, but the treament facility is hardly reimbursed - just ask California. EMTALA: The Emergency Medical Treatment and Active Labor Act (42 U.S.C. § 1395dd, EMTALA) is a United States Act of Congress passed in 1986 as part of the Consolidated Omnibus Budget Reconciliation Act. It requires hospitals and ambulance services to provide care to anyone needing emergency treatment regardless of citizenship, legal status or ability to pay. There are no reimbursement provisions. As a result of the act, patients needing emergency treatment can be discharged only under their own informed consent or when their condition requires transfer to a hospital better equipped to administer the treatment. And, I do know the precise meanings of a fascist social welfare collectivist, as I have lived in those countries and bore the burden of those who would dictate what people should think and do for the state.
