dailykos.com — Robert G Kaufman's advice to the GOP: If I had to recommend one single thing that the Republicans should be doing to help articulate the message, it is to acquire another television network so that there is not just FOX

The Republicans own Fox? Tell me something I didn't know...

Yeah I know about Michele Bachmann - I meant to write something about that being her there but I forgot to. Beck doesn't explicitly use the words "violent revolution," but when he talks about rage and anger and then harkens back tot he American Revolution, he is clearly talking about a real revolution and not some kind of intellectual revolution. The tea-parties these guys keep advocating are lead by people who advocate book-burning and pulling kids out of "brainwashing colleges." These people aren't interested in intellectual warfare, they are interested in escalating the cultural wars we've been experiencing off-and-on for the last thirty years. I can't verify or debunk your claim about the DailyKos or HuffPost because I don't read the comments there. I don't normally read the comments on FoxNews either, but in briefly searching for examples I happened to do so and was struck by the paranoid, racist, ethnocentric and generally hateful nature of the preponderance of comments.

And you think you are getting honesty from CNN or NBC or CBS? FOX is more honest and balanced than all of them put together. Just keep putting your heads in the sand and we will lose America. You think Obama is interested in spreading the wealth? All he is interested in is keeping his power and grabbing more power. How many promises does he have to break before you wake up? How many times do you need to be manipulated before you wake up? The AIG protest - paid for by the Service Employees Union and conduct by ACORN. What about the bonuses that went to Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac? That was not staged because they contributed heavily to both parties. They needed to be rewarded. Wake up. Ask yourself, why did CNN and NBC and CBS not give you the facts? Because they are afraid if you hear them you might agree. I have been to several Socialist countries and the divide between the rich and the poor is much greater than here and if you talk the lower class they have no chance of making it out. Obama is not working for you. When the government controls everything they own you. I hope you like the way they tell you how to think, what to say, where you can live.

Not really, Fox news is the most watched cable news program, when it comes to CNN, MSNBC and others there is no compairison. That's why they hate fox news so much...

Not only does the GOP own Fox, the Dems own CNN (it wasn't called the clinton news network for nothing), NBC (which means CNBC, MSNBC, et. al.) The reality is the only thing "bipartisan" about our political system is corruption, greed and general assh**iness. There are a few good individuals in politics who are trying to do the right thing but their voices get silenced by mainstream media who are beholden to their agenda.

Can someone tell me if these numbers accurately reflect the outcome of the last election?Fox News is an entertainment network first, news network second. That's why their ratings are so high.

First..."GOP Admits it "Owns" Fox"Then...""Keep things honest?" That's funny. Fox News and honesty don't even belong in the same language, much less sentence."Finally..."Warning: The Content in this Article May be Inaccurate"LOL. Irony.

Tough... conservatives ruled for eight years, Bush just did as he thought (does that imply think) Ronnie or John Wayne would do and refused publically to listen to anyone from the 'other side'. Now the GOP whines like little girls about everything in their sandbox. Gotta better idea, shoulda seen it the last decade, now please, the floor belongs to someone else... you whining, shrill, rude, sore losers. Try a touch of class Fox!

Why are you getting dugg down? DN IS very leftist. Frankly, I like to have a variety of sources - DN isn't one of my primary sources, but I do follow the slightly less strident BuzzFlash. I also check out PrisonPlanet from time to time. You see, when you know what bias a source has, you can also trust them to notice things that ARE worth knowing about, even if they completely misunderstand what those things "really mean."I should mention that, despite the awful reputation for wild paranoia that Prison Planet has gained, they do actually have sources that you can then fact check, and they are far more likely to check out as being narrowly true than, say, World Net Daily, which long ago abandoned any relationship with fact.I just stop reading once they start speculating as to what these facts "really mean."But so long as a source does respect the core ideal of reporting the facts they find, accurately and honestly, the bias of a source can make it a useful tool. They will tend to look for things outside of your own range of confirmation bias. And, well, we ALL tend to not notice things we don't want to know. That aint' politics, it's just plain human.
