gizmodo.com — I once had a friend who was not only an alcoholic, but an angry alcoholic that would not only vomit all over himself, but would punch his friends and shout at them while he vomited all over them, too. Sony, you are helpful to us here at Giz.

mandarin, being a crybaby isn't becoming.Who's a publicly held business that isn't forcing you to buy any of that s**t? Was that whole comment simply to throw a bitch-fit?The levels you anti-Sony fanboys can bring yourselves to is just amazing to me. Like I'm sure you're all fairly rational dudes most of the day, but bring up Sony and it's like you're fighting on the playground. All logic goes out the window. It's all emotion.Seriously, someone tell me you disagree with this point:Sony is a business. They have a right to protect secrets. Sony -is not- ending Kotaku's existence on earth. Sony -is- not going to give them any more inside information.Inside information is most industries is considered a privilege. In the whiny, emotional world of videogames, you act like it's a right. If it were my company, I'd do the same thing. It's sad to say, but the illogical, emotional way you guys behave really does kinda make me sick. You guys get so wrapped up in being the "hero"...

That's cool of them to stand up to Sony like that to report on what they want to. They're probably missing out on a lot of free goodies and interviews in the future - but that's what it takes to be a good journalist. Good on him for responding with civility as well. I'm sure Sony will realize how bad this looks and invite them back almost immediately.I hope this is some sort of indication that the rumor is true, that'd be good news for those of us who own a PS3.

Has the world gone mad?Two more things: This isn't a freedom of speech or journalistic integrity issue. It's a respect someones privacy wishes. Publishing the story doesn't bankrupt Sony, but it sure damn puts a damper on whatever Press event Sony has planned for next week. If Kotaku had anyone respect for what Sony has done for them in the past they would have buried the story on and find many other negative stories that they are free to post about Sony.Secondly, Sony did nothing wrong here. Sony politely asked Kotaku to not post the item, but received a "NO" answer. Sony again responded and said that this would legitimately ruin whatever relationship both entities had in the past. Kotaku, somehow foolish enough to believe their own greatness, threw all their good history down the drain over this.

kotaku's posts on this read more like a "dear diary" entry. why do all of these bloggers consider themselves news providers/journalists? i realize it allows them to ego trip on the internet, but cmon they are linking to another blog or real newssource, then giving a couple of lines of opinion...all you tom brokaw wannabees, don't kid yourself.
