being from India does not help me with mitral yet but i think the future is pretty bright. the possibilities of finding someone near your location is good with this kind of application...
What I have always enjoyed the most about using Meetro is the way the users really do come together, whether it's to celebrate someone's birthday or to help promote the site. There are sites I've used for five or more years where I STILL know fewer people than Meetro has brought me in the last few months alone. And everytime someone signs up, I have one more person to chit chat with and visit. Having just moved to a new suburb, it's been nice to actually meet some of my neighbors that I might have missed otherwise. The networking is really fantastic. If there is nobody on Meetro in your area, you just have to be proactive. Post the link in a few of your boards and see what happens. I have six new neighbors by me just from a short bulletin I posted. We're all going out this weekend. So sure, I've signed up to digg this link, but I'm a real girl. You wanna talk to me? Get yourself Meetro and come say hello! My username is the same there and you'll find me on most nights, near Chicago.
Well, I for one stopped using it within 5 minutes of the installation. It doesn't offer any way to connect through a proxy (i'm only willing to dedicate a couple minutes to finding settings which should be intuitive, so if there is a way, make it obvious Meetro) and then it crashed. I didn't bother opening it back up.
